When he woke up, a bunch of bags and his parents were around him. “Are you ready?” asked his dad. “Yup! Do we have everything?”, asked Paul. “Yes. we are waiting on you.” “Ok, I’m ready!”, said Paul when getting up. When they were walking out of the hospital, the doctor came rushing over and said, “I forgot to tell you something. There’s a mysterious fungi lurking in the forest, so watch out!” When the doctor was saying this, Paul thought maybe that was the thing in his dream. Can’t be sure though, he thought to himself.
Now they were walking out of the town toward the big forest where no-one goes, yet they had to go straight through it. “It’ll be scary, let alone going through it at night.”, Paul thought to himself. Now they are in the forest. “Are you doing alright asked Mrs. Lanky?” “Yes, but I want to get out of here ASAP, because it freaks me out!”, Said Paul. “Yes I know honey, but this is the only way not to die.” Now it was dark and the parents took out their flashlights. Then as soon as they took another step, a strange creature popped out of the woods. “Get behind us!”, whispered Paul’s parents…so he did. “How’s it goin’ folks!! I’m chub-chub!”, said what appeared to be some sort of fungi. “Why that guy’s lookin’ pretty down! – Oh I know the perfect song! OoOoOoh…who’s a jolly good fellow, who’s a jolly good fellow…” “Stop it, stop it!!”, Mr. Lanky yelled. “It’s not that kind of down, it’s just that Paul here will die if we don’t get to Gnomalocks by sunrise.”, said Mr’s Lanky. “Well I can fix that right up!”, Said the fungi. “FYI, I can heal, talk to animals, and I never age.”, and with that, he touched Paul’s wound, and it disappeared. “He’s going to fall asleep in…3…2…1…”, then all of a sudden they heard snoring. “When you get there, you will want to give him lots of sleep, water and food.”, said the fungi. Then the fungi disappeared. When Paul woke up the next day, he was in an unfamiliar bed. Next to him there was a table with food and water. He said to himself, “This must be Gnomalocks!”, then his parents came in and said “Welcome to your new home!”

Hoover Dam

What i learned while i was there was this. Hoover Dam sucks in water and generates electricity. It is very big, and has lots of concrete. A lot of people died while building the Hoover Dam and were buried inside it. I took these pictures from my phone when my dad, shakti, and I went to Nevada together.

My current school writing project

Our teacher assigned an end of year writing project. I was released from school early, so I could spend more time with my mom in Michigan. Everyone has to do this narrative project, so I’m working on it here. This story is called “Adventures of a gnome family”.
Once upon a time there was a nice couple name Mr. and Mrs. Lanky. They had a normal life and a normal height for a gnome, and a kid named Paul. Paul was a average kidwith average height, but he was a little chubby. One day he was walking in a field and was bit by an unknown creature. He went running home. He yelled “Mommy, mommy, I got bit by something and it hurts!” Ok, let me see, sad Mrs. Lanky. She came over, looked and fainted. When Mr. Lanky came home, there was a big puddle of blood on the floor. “Mom fainted!” said Paul. “Well first, we need to get you to the hospital, right away!” said Paul’s dad. Next thing you know, they were in the hospital and Paul was being treated. “I’ll go get your mother.” said Mr. Lanky.
While he was doing that, Paul fell asleep and had a strange dream… He suddenly woke up in a hospital and yelled. Mr. and Mrs. Lanky came rushing over. “How did I get here?” “Remember?” said Mrs. Lanky. “You were seriously injured in the field, and you came home crying.” “Oh yeah,” said Paul. “Yes, now go back to sleep you need to rest”, said both parents. When Paul woke again, he was looking at the doctor. “Will I be alright?” said Paul. I’m afraid not, said the doctor. “For at least two days you will be alright, but then the pain will come and you will die!” “But can we stop it?” said Paul. “Yes” said the doctor. “There is only one medicine that will cure you, but there’s only one thing…we don’t have it.” “Do you know who has the cure?” asked Paul. Yes, said the doctor. You need to go straight through the forest to Gnoamalocks, they have the cure. By the way, it takes one day and one night. “Do my parents know about this?” “Yes, they said it’s up to you, said the doctor.” “Well, I don’t want to die, I’ll make the trip.” said Paul.
